A police constable attempted to commit suicide by leaping from the top of supermarket roof located in the town square of Mandeville this morning morning.
On-lookers had to contact the nearby police, who later reached out to the fire department and emergency units who aided to remove the constable from the roof
A large crowd grew at the entrance of the Grand Mark variety store located in Mandeville’s town square, has persons watched in disbelief that the constable would actually take his own life.
Firefighters and other emergency responders helped the constable down from the building and he was taken to the hospital.
Manchester- Superintendent Vendolyn Cameron-Powell, explained that this his not the first time the constable has threatened to take his own life. For he is known to throw temper tantrums whenever he does not get to have his own way.
The constable was successfully removed from the building without injuries and will undergo psychological evaluation.
